“What fascinates me most in Monika Wolf’s enigmatic works is the intimately vital charge of her pictorial message, whose ‘sign’ becomes a language charged with mystery: it takes the observer into a fantastic journey in which the artist collects and revisits figures charged with symbolism, accentuating the unreal element in the real. The work becomes a creative immedesimation that will also return in time to reinvigorate itself, whenever the observer is able to read the message in the sign”.
